Ledger Nano S & Nano X Hardware Issues: Charging, Display, and Power
Sometimes the problem isn’t the app — it’s the device itself. This page covers common hardware issues like Ledger Nano X not charging, Ledger Nano X screen not working, and Ledger Nano X battery issue, plus a few tips for Ledger Nano S.

Ledger Nano X Not Charging
If your Ledger Nano X not charging, follow this checklist:
• Use the original USB cable provided with the device.
• Try another USB port on your computer or a different power adapter.
• Carefully inspect the charging port for dust or visible damage.
• Keep the device connected for at least 1–2 hours.
If it still will not charge, reach out to official Ledger Live Support to discuss repair or replacement options.

Ledger Nano X Screen Not Working
A Ledger Nano X screen not working can be alarming, but there are a few steps you can take:
• Connect the device to your computer and see if Ledger Live detects it.
• If the wallet is recognized but the screen remains blank or frozen, open a support case.
• Do not enter your recovery phrase into any computer, phone, or website to try to fix the display.
Restoration should only be done on a genuine Ledger device.
Ledger Nano X Battery Issue
If you encounter a Ledger Nano X battery issue, such as fast draining or a battery that will not hold charge:
• Make sure your firmware is up to date using the Ledger Live app.
• Test with a different cable and power source.
• Use the device while it is plugged in if the battery is very weak.
• If the situation does not improve, contact Ledger Live Support for further advice.
For Ledger Nano S devices, the battery is not usually a concern because they rely on USB power, but faulty cables or ports may cause connection problems.
